Cleveland City Council MeetingMonday, November 17 - 7:00 p.m.
Last week, the Cleveland City Council approved resolutions supporting the Ohio Equal Housing and Employment Act and recognizing Transgender Day of Remembrance in Cleveland.
At Council on Monday, November 17, Councilman Joe Cimperman will introduce an ordinance that will create a Domestic Partner Registry for the City of Cleveland.
There are also several other pending pieces of key LGBT legislation. You can read more about them and the Domestic Partner Registry here.
Thank you to Councilman Joe Santiago (Ward 14), Councilman Matt Zone (Ward 17) and Councilman Cimperman (Ward 13) for their leadership on these issues!
What do you need to do?
1) E-mail, call, or write your City Council Member and thank them for their support of the LGBT community. Also, ask them to support ordinances creating a domestic partner registry and banning discrimination in Cleveland on the basis of gender identity in employment and housing. Find your Council Member here.
2) Come to the City Council Meeting on November 17 at 7:00 p.m. Show your support of the Cleveland City Council's efforts to make Cleveland a City that stands for Equality!
